Welcome to Seneca Area Agency on Aging
Seneca Area Agency on Aging is a private non-profit corporation devoted to advocating for and providing assistance to older persons and their caregivers in a non-discriminatory manner, working toward fostering, and maintaining independence; while preserving the dignity of each individual and focusing on their quality of life.
There are over 650 Area Agencies on Aging across the nation working together to serve the elderly. In Iowa the aging network includes:
- The Administration on Aging at the Federal level,
- The Iowa Department of Aging (IDA) at the state level,
- 13 Area Agencies on Aging at the area level, and
- A variety of other private and public organizations.
Seneca AAA services are available to 60+ and their spouse of any age, and caregivers on a contribution basis with emphasis on greatest economic and social need, low income minorities, serve disabilities, limited English proficiency, Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders with neurological A-3 organic brain dysfunction, rural and at risk for institutional placements.
Services that are funded and/or provided directly by Seneca AAA are available on a contribution basis.
